BHOPAL: Pleasant weather and only a few hours of rain marked the beginning of weekend in the state capital. But, do not worry — spells or showers are expected in Bhopal in the coming days, said the weather office. The Met department also issued warming of heavy rain in some areas in the state.Officials of Indian Meteorological department (IMD), Bhopal circle, said multiple systems are triggering showers in the state, including a lowpressure area over north west Bay of Bengal.A monsoon trough is passing over the state from Guna, Rewa and there are upper air circulations over south Gujarat and adjoining areas and central parts of south Madhya Pradesh, Met officials said. The wet spell is likely to continue for four to five days, they added.On Saturday, the day temperature in Bhopal was recorded at 28.6 degrees Celsius, two degrees less than normal mark, and the minimum temperature in city was 24.6 degrees, two degrees more than the normal. A day earlier, the day temperature in Bhopal was recorded at 29.2 degrees, two degrees less than normal mark and the minimum temperature in the city was recorded at 24.2 degrees Celsius, a degree more than normal mark.The wind direction in city was westerly with average speed of 8 kilometres per hour. Bhopal recorded a total of 0.8mm rainfall from 8.30am to 5.30pm on Friday.In the forecast for Bhopal on Sunday, Met officials said that there is a possibility of thundery development in parts of the city. Day and night temperature would be 29 degrees and 24 degrees Celsius respectively and average wind speed will be 20 kmph.In the forecast for state, the Met department has issued a warning of heavy rainfall at some places, including Ujjain, Indore, Dhar, Dewas, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Raisen, Rajgarh, Morena, Bhind, Anuppur , Dindori, Damoh and Balaghat.
