BHOPAL: The second phase of chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan 's `Jan Ashirwad Yatra' will begin from Maihar in Satna district on July 18. Before the launch of the second phase, the CM will perform a puja of Goddess Sharda at the famous Maihar temple.The two-day yatra will begin with a public meeting to be addressed by the chief minister at Maihar stadium. Chouhan will also hold a road show in the town and rural areas atop his high-tech chariot, from where he will take the people’s blessings to regain power in the state."After a historic response in the first phase, chief minister Chouhan will begin the second phase with focus on local issues and works undertaken in the area. The chief minister will visit 50 places in Satna district in 11 hours on the first day of the yatra," said BJP state media in-charge Lokendra Parashar.Sources in the BJP said that during the yatra, the chief minister has gathered details about the development works undertaken in the area and major demands of the public. Chouhan has also collected information about the historical and mythological importance of the area. "During the yatra, BJP has assigned work to seven prominent morchas to collect feedback about government schemes. The party has also kept farmers, poor, students, tribals and rural development in its main agenda. As per the demands, Chouhan could announce relief to the public during his meetings," said a BJP functionary.On the first day, Chouhan will tour Ramnagar, Amarpatan, Rampur Baghelan and Satna where he will address public meetings and participate in road shows. On July 19, Chouhan will reach Birsinghpur in Umaria district where he will lay the foundation of a hospital and a college building. Chouhan will also tour Raigaon and Uchehera assembly areas and address public meetings.
