State PCC chief Kamal Nath told reporters, “Our concern is that fragmentation of votes will benefit the BJP. Hence, we are talking to all like-minded parties to join hands.”So far, Congress has been holding dialogues with the BSP and SP for a pre-poll alliance. Sharad Yadav’s newly launched party after breaking from the JD(U) has hardly any vote-bank in the state. Sources in the state Congress said that the party has asked Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav to first decide whether they will contest together in Madhya Pradesh since the BSP and SP have entered into an alliance in Uttar Pradesh. This will help the Congress in the seat-sharing calculations. Congress does not want to have separate tie-ups with BSP and SP, rather it wants the two parties to come with a joint proposal of how many seats they want in MP, party sources said.
