BHOPAL: A 15-year old boy killed his mother after she scolded him over studies in Chhindwara district , late on Saturday night.The accused teenager had changed his blood stained clothes and was preparing to escape when the police arrested him.The incident took place at Pindrai Saraf village under Hivarkhedi police outpost of the district.The deceased has been identified as Kumari Uike , 35, wife of late Jogesh Uike , police said.“Primary investigations have revealed that the accused who is a minor was a student of class 9. Deceased had two children, the accused and a younger daughter; she used to work as a labourer after her husband’s death a couple of years ago. On last Friday the accused had skipped studies and had run away to a relative’s place. She went to the relatives place and brought him back this Friday,” Hivarkheda police outpost incharge, KK Dongre told TOI.“She was scolding him and probably had also hit him for skipping studies, as a wooden stick was also found from the spot, and in a fit of rage, the accused attacked her on head and neck with an iron rod, killing her on spot. After committing the crime, he changed the blood stained clothes and had escaped to a relatives place situated at a distance of around 1 kilometre. Locals informed us about the incident and the accused was arrested late in the night. His blood stained clothes and the rod used in the crime were also recovered,” Dongre said.“He was produced before the juvenile justice board which sent him to reform home on Sunday,” Dongre said.
