50 including Congress workers arrested after attack on CM Shivraj's bus

It was a well-planned conspiracy to target CM’s bus, they say.Those arrested were identified as Ram Vilas Patel, block congress committee president Churhat, Pankaj Singh, 40, district president Congress IT Cell, Shivendra Singh Chouhan, 21 coordinator, Churhat Congress IT Cell, Saurav Singh Chouhan, 21, Saurav Diwedi, Sanjay Singh alias Pampu, Charan Singh alias Limpu, Roshan Singh and Gaurav Singh. When they were denied permission to do so, they wrapped stones in black cloths and hurled it on the bus. People of the state are with me," he added.Ajay Singh had issued a release saying no Congressman was involved in the stone-pelting incident. Windshield glass of the bus on diver’s side was damaged. Chouhan escaped unhurt.Police said there were protest in the region for last four days over poor roads and the agitators wanted to show black flags.

BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh police on Monday arrested nine people including the district president of the Congress IT cell for allegedly attacking Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s vehicle in Sidhi district.Incident took place on Sunday night during Chouhan’s Jan Ashirwad Yatra (JAY) at Patpara village, in Churhat – assembly constituency of the leader of opposition Ajay Singh. Windshield glass of the bus on diver’s side was damaged. Chouhan escaped unhurt.Police said there were protest in the region for last four days over poor roads and the agitators wanted to show black flags. They have been booked under Section 147, 148, 153 A, 336, 355 and 427 of IPC at Churhat’s Kamraji police station.Apart from these nine, Sidhi police have detained around 50 people including three women for obstructing CM’s rally and protesting despite having administrative sanction to meet Chouhan.After this incident Chouhan had Ajay Singh to come in the open and fight with him saying "If you have strength come in open and fight with me. I may be weak physically but won't be bogged down by your deeds. People of the state are with me," he added.Ajay Singh had issued a release saying no Congressman was involved in the stone-pelting incident. He said his party does not follow the culture of violence.
