Madhya Pradesh: Chouhan slams Digvijaya for alleged nexus with Maoists

"Report of senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh's nexus with Maoists is a matter of concern. BHOPAL : Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday slammed senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh for his alleged role in sympathising with the cause of Maoists and often helping them too. India will not tolerate this", stated Chouhan in a series of tweets.Recently, the verbal duel between Chouhan and Digvijaya in the poll bound Madhya Pradesh took an ugly turn when Chouhan dubbed Digvijaya as 'anti-national' alleging, "Digvijaya sometimes visits the homes of slain terrorists and talks about Hindu terrorism. The report mentioned that arrests made by the police in Bhima-Koregaon case refer to a phone number which allegedly belongs to the Congress leader who is named as a friend. Chouhan demanded that the Congress should immediately sack him from the party.

Earlier too he had made irresponsible statements about the matter and there were allegations against him under anti-national activities . Congress should immediately take action and sack him from the party", tweeted Chouhan on Monday.The chief minister also retweeted social media posts on letter seized from those arrested in the recent multi-city crackdown by the Maharashtra police, which contained a contact number allegedly belonging to senior Congress leader and former chief minister, Digvijaya Singh. The report mentioned that arrests made by the police in Bhima-Koregaon case refer to a phone number which allegedly belongs to the Congress leader who is named as a friend."The real face of Congress and its leaders has been exposed. Nexus with those who were trying to divide the country, what could be more shameful. Betraying motherland to help one family retain power. India will not tolerate this", stated Chouhan in a series of tweets.Recently, the verbal duel between Chouhan and Digvijaya in the poll bound Madhya Pradesh took an ugly turn when Chouhan dubbed Digvijaya as 'anti-national' alleging, "Digvijaya sometimes visits the homes of slain terrorists and talks about Hindu terrorism. Many times, such acts of Digvijaya seem anti-national," Chouhan had stated in a press conference at Satna.As a mark of retaliation, Digvijaya presented himself before the Bhopal police a week later and dared them to arrest him on the charges of anti-national activities. Singh accompanied by hundreds of party workers holding banners and placards against Chouhan, marched for around one km to court arrest and said, "I have a letter from the police that there is no case of treason against me. I am going to drag Chouhan to court for calling me a traitor", he added.
