NCL manager caught taking bribe in Madhya Pradesh, Rs 26 lakh seized

BHOPAL: A senior manager of Northern Coalfield Limited (NCL) Jayant project in Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh was allegedly caught red-handed by CBI while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a contractor late on Saturday night.Accused Shailendra Pasari , 45, was arrested on Sunday morning.A subsequent search at his house has led to recovery of Rs 25 lakhs in cash and inventory of assets worth Rs 1.25 crore, said sources in the agency.“He was demanding ten per cent against clearing pending bills of Rs 1.27 lakhs from the complainant” said an officer wishing anonymity.Complaint was lodged by contractor TN Pandey.
