BHOPAL: A day after chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan declared that CBSE students will be eligible for Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana at 80% instead of the earlier 85% and above, the parents are still not satisfied.MP Board students are eligible for the scholarship if they secure 70% in their final examination. If MP board students can avail the scholarship at 70%, the same should be applied to CBSE students.”Sanjeev Dubey, whose daughter studies in Class 12 in CBSE school of the city, said, “This discrimination by the government creates rivalry and a feeling of enmity among the students. Though it is good thing that the CM decided to bring the percentage of mark to 80% from 85% for CBSE students, it is still unfair.“A student who scored 79% per cent in CBSE boards will not be eligible to get the scholarship, but an MP board student scoring 70% will make use of it. It hurts the sentiments of the students who work hard but don’t get the benefits because of different boards,” he said.
