BHOPAL: Nitu Dutta and Phoolwati Prajapati, anganwadi workers from Panna district , said they were very anxious before talking to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday. "Smartphones with the ICDS-CAS software were provided to the anganwadi workers and women supervisors had to ensure the assigned service delivery. I am happy that all of you play a key role to strengthen the foundation of our country. "We were not able to sleep the previous night as we were scheduled to interact with the Prime Minister," they told reporters after a dialogue with Modi through video conferencing. The Prime Minister interacted with ASHA (Accredited social health activists), ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife) and Anganwadi workers across the country through video conferencing including Nitu and Phoolwati from Panna.Phoolwati told the Prime Minister that common application software (CAS) had been extremely useful in monitoring the malnourished children. The Centre had introduced integrated child development services-common application software (ICDS-CAS) for 'Poshan Abhiyaan' (nutrition campaign) to track proper functioning of anganwadi workers.Phoolwati said that with the help of the software, it was easy to create a growth chart of a malnourished child and admit him at a nutritional rehabilitation centre. After interaction with the PM, another anganwadi worker Nitu said she felt "energised" and could now work "with double strength" for the malnourished children.Modi thanked the workers for their work and said, "Without your efforts, one cannot imagine the concept of healthy motherhood in India.
