Brahmins gather in Ujjain, give war cry ahead of polls

On Friday, 51,000 Brahmins gave the war cry in Ujjain: "Jab Jab Brahman Bola Hai, Raj Sinhasan Dola hai (whenever a Brahmin speaks up, the throne is rocked). UJJAIN: Upper caste anger against the amendment to SC/ST Protection Act has put the ruling BJP in a tight spot . "BJP can ill afford to ignore this warning. Not when Brahmins from all over the country hold a special gathering in one of the holiest cities of India, brandish firearms and say: “Brahmins have taken up arms when atrocities against them have soared.” While some women held up double barrel guns and air guns, a few men carried the Parashu battle axe) said to be Lord Parashuram’s weapon.
