Chief editor of a tabloid shot at in Madhya Pradesh

BHOPAL: Chief editor of a Hindi daily was shot at and injured in Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh on Monday night.The victim has been identified as Sanjay Gupta ,48, who runs a tabloid besides a hotel and other businesses. Police said the incident took place near Bohdapur area around 10 pm.According to sources he was shot from behind, bullet went across his abdomen. Suspects have taken away a bag from him, which apparently had cash in it. He was rushed to a private hospital in critical condition.Doctors said they are trying to stabilise his condition.Police suspect an old rivalry to be a reason behind this incident. Investigations are underway.
