MP minister creates row over 'ghoshna machine' controversy of Shivraj

"I am the finance minister and only made an announcement when there was money allocated for project. (announcement for the medical college will be done here in Damoh when CM visits here. "Abhi koi Chhatarpur ka budget allocation toh hua nahi hai, abhi toh sirf ghoshna hai", ( presently there is no budget allocation for Chhatarpur medical college, it is merely an announcement).

Referring to the announcement of a medical college in Chhatarpur, the finance minister said it was "merely an announcement".Malaiya made the statement while performing the bhoomi pujan for new bus stand of Damoh on Friday afternoon.Barely few days before elections, as Malaiya faces flak for losing the medical college project to neighbouring Chhatarpur in Bundelkhand region, he was making a clarification to the people of Damoh."Abhi koi Chhatarpur ka budget allocation toh hua nahi hai, abhi toh sirf ghoshna hai", ( presently there is no budget allocation for Chhatarpur medical college, it is merely an announcement). He added, "Ghoshna toh abhi jab CM yahan aaenge toh ho jaegi medical college ki, unse hee karaunga, main nahi karunga". (announcement for the medical college will be done here in Damoh when CM visits here. I will make him do, I won't do it).While making this clarification, perhaps, Malaiya did not realise that he was generating a controversy, a senior BJP leader of Damoh later commented.During his September 17 visit to Madhya Pradesh , the AICC president Rahul Gandhi had termed Shivraj a "ghoshna machine" and added that CM would make announcements without batting his eyelid. He has so far made 21000 announcements, Rahul Gandhi had said.During his speech, Malaiya also said that he never makes an announcement until he gets money allocated for some project."I am the finance minister and only made an announcement when there was money allocated for project. Show me one project where bhoomi pujan was performed and the project is not completed," he said.Reacting over the issue, Madhya Pradesh Congress president Kamal Nath told TOI, "at last the truth has come out that too from his ( Shivraj’s) own finance minister. The other minister also feels the same way but unable to express."
