Charges against serial killer Khamra to be framed soon

BHOPAL: Bhopal police will soon start filing charge-sheets in court against the serial highway killer gang, which was busted recently. He said Bhopal police had written a letter to the PHQ requesting to transfer investigation of eight cases filed against Khamra and his gang in other districts of the state to Bhopal police. The police team, which went to Kanpur to arrest him, took him at gunpoint and brought him to their vehicle. As of now, he said, the priority of police is to complete investigations in cases filed against him and submit chargesheet before the court.SP Lodha said police would start filing chargesheets against serial killer gang in next 15-20 days. The accused at present were handed over to Rajgarh police.Our effort is to present a watertight case in court against Khamra so that he gets capital punishment, Lodha said.

Police have written to the police headquarters requesting to hand over to them investigations of eight cases, which were filed against members of busted gang in other districts of the state.SP Rahul Kumar Lodha said the alleged kingpin of serial killer gang Adesh Khamra, was produced before the court on September 27 from where he was once again taken on police remand till October 3. As of now, he said, the priority of police is to complete investigations in cases filed against him and submit chargesheet before the court.SP Lodha said police would start filing chargesheets against serial killer gang in next 15-20 days. He said Bhopal police had written a letter to the PHQ requesting to transfer investigation of eight cases filed against Khamra and his gang in other districts of the state to Bhopal police. "We have transferred investigations of one case filed against the gang at Bhind district and the process is on in other cases," said SP Lodha.SP Lodha said police were trying to recover trucks and goods robbed by the gang and were successful in it. He said police would announce a major breakthrough in the case soon.Three more accomplices of Adesh Khamra were arrested from Gwalior Jhansi and Kanpur by police teams. Police arrested Khamra's associates Paramjeet, Gurubaksh and Bablu Parihar . The accused were taken to Rajgarh by the police team, where a case was registered against them.Police sources said Paramjeet, Gurubaksh and Bablu Parihar helped Khamra dispose of booty. According to sources, Gurubaksh was caught from Kanpur where he is influential. It was the first time when police picked him from his place in movie style. The police team, which went to Kanpur to arrest him, took him at gunpoint and brought him to their vehicle. As cops were in civil dress, it triggered panic in the area. The police team had then met SSP Kanpur and brought Gurubaksh with them.Police sources said the three accused were being taken to other cities and recovered stolen trucks and goods based on information provided they reportedly provided to police. The accused at present were handed over to Rajgarh police.Our effort is to present a watertight case in court against Khamra so that he gets capital punishment, Lodha said.
