Five more test positive for Zika in MP, 3 are from Bhopal

BHOPAL: Five more persons tested positive for Zika virus in the state, according to state health department on Sunday.
Viral Research and Diagnostic Laboratories (VRDL) of AIIMS, Bhopal has confirmed it, said state health department officers.
Three patients are from Bhopal and two from neighbouring Sehore district.So far eight Zika cases have been reported in the state.
NIV has sequenced 5 Zika virus strains collected from Rajasthan, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu.
Symptoms of Zika virus disease are similar to other viral infections such as dengue, and include fever, skin rashes, conjunctivitis, muscle and joint pain, malaria and headache.
