Four street plays on child rights were performed at different locations in the district. To mark Children’s Day, The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund organised a series of programmes under ‘Go Blue for every Child’ campaign on Wednesday.The aim of the programme was to sensitize around 30,000 people on child rights and issues surrounding it in Harda. Through the medium of stories, people were made aware about the issues of child health, vaccination, child labour, child education and involvement of children in decision making. Issues incorporated by these young film-makers comprise struggles of daily life like child health education, child labour, drug abuse, stories of social discrimination depicted as popular fiction. This initiative is supported by 18 youth, who are empowering the youngsters with skills of film-making.
