On November 10, he was up with #MPwithBJP which went viral on November 18, generating over 1,62,736 impressions.This desi is no legendry pirate. He set sail on Twitter only in September. Hashtag #MPwithBJP trended only after 98 total posts from 74 users reached some 1.45 lakh Twitter followers. This wannabe Jack has only 14 followers.Truth be told, it took some very smart techies to club the hashtag to correspond with PM Modi’s speech in Chhattisgarh . The end result, #MPwithBJP was tweeted and hashtagged by Twitter handles like @celbs2025 (which promotes ‘online shopping deals alerts’), @KashiKa-Wasi (a YouTube channel with 4 lakh followers), and @lostttraveller (this handle stands true to its name).There were accounts like @dubey_jps, who until a few months ago tweeted a handwritten letter to the CM, petitioning for a relative’s transfer. A website linked to his Twitter profile takes you to 404-error.As for the Congress, #WaqtHaiBadlavKa in Hindi has made an impression but not enough to make it to the top Twitter trends the way BJP’s did. On November 18, it peeked with 1.79 lakh impressions.
