BHOPAL: Bhopal smart city is widening ambit of integrated traffic management system (ITMS). An ITMS generated 'snap' challan would not be a mobile-shot to celebrate. Until now, ITMS challans for traffic rule violations were generated via fixed cameras, which are mostly intersections. Two sleuths from the police would be present at the smart city centre at Govindpura to keep tap on the operations.ITMS is managed through a private company contracted by BSCDCL. These challans for traffic violations were limited to around 22 intersections and selected locations - where traffic violations tracking was limited to over speeding, red-light overstepping and others.ITMS is a pancity project undertaken by BSCDCL and was inaugurated earlier in May.
