BHOPAL: Mercury slipped further in Bhopal and other parts of the state on Thursday. The lowest temperature in state was recorded in Mandla at 6 degrees Celsius.In Bhopal, the temperature on Thursday was 24.2 degrees Celsius, two degrees below than normal mark, while the night temperature was 12 degrees Celsius, a notch above the normal mark. In other parts of the state too the temperature slipped by 5 degrees Celsius.Officials of the meteorological department, Bhopal circle, said there is moisture incursion at a few places in the state due to a trough line passing over south Chhattisgarh and east Madhya Pradesh . Winds blew north-easterly at an average speed was 6 kilometres per hour. For the rest of the state, met officials predicted dry weather to prevail at most places, but few places, including Balaghat, Mandla, Seoni, Chhindwara and Betul may get light rain due to trough in south Chhattisgarh and adjoining areas of the state.
