Madhya Pradesh: CM Kamal Nath lays stone for new MP Bhawan in Delhi

The CM said he does not want to follow other states but he would rather like “them to follow Madhya Pradesh”.The chief minister was laying the foundation stone for new Madhya Pradesh Bhawan at Chanakyapuri in New Delhi. New Madhya Pradesh Bhawan will be constructed as per requirements and will be a precedent for the other states. BHOPAL: Chief minister Kamal Nath on Saturday said that Gross Domestic Product is not the only parameter to measure growth of a state. Challenges being faced by the new generation can be combated with new thinking and understanding,” the chief minister said. Chief minister said that any kind of expenditure on the operation and maintenance of the building will not be a burden on the government.

BHOPAL: Chief minister Kamal Nath on Saturday said that Gross Domestic Product is not the only parameter to measure growth of a state. The CM said he does not want to follow other states but he would rather like “them to follow Madhya Pradesh”.The chief minister was laying the foundation stone for new Madhya Pradesh Bhawan at Chanakyapuri in New Delhi. The building will be constructed at a cost of Rs 150 crore.“We need to make changes in our attitude, thinking and working style over time. Challenges being faced by the new generation can be combated with new thinking and understanding,” the chief minister said. The function was attended by minister for general administration Dr Govind Singh, former chief minister Babulal Gaur, MPs and MLAs, senior officers posted in the Union government and other dignitaries.CM Nath said that a new building in New Delhi is the need of the hour. New Madhya Pradesh Bhawan will be constructed as per requirements and will be a precedent for the other states. He claimed that the new Madhya Pradesh Bhavan will be an example of modernism and will be constructed keeping in mind the need of the next 50 years.A state government release said that during the construction of the building no concession or subsidy will be given to anyone. Chief minister said that any kind of expenditure on the operation and maintenance of the building will not be a burden on the government. The building will be on the principle of “revenue neutral”. He promised to give development and new direction to the state with everyone’s support.Considering trade related to agricultural sector as a challenge, the CM said that more than 70% people are engaged in agriculture and allied sector. “We will make every effort to double their earnings,” he said.
