Folk songs of Punjab entertain Bhopali audience

Under the Uttaradhikar series of Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum this week Punjabi folk songs entertained the culture enthusiasts of the city. Nishat Bano actively uploads her songs on video viewing platforms through which people around the globe get to see her work. This was followed by Nishat Bano’s group song ‘Mera Aala Jat Ga’, ‘Suhery Cheere Waliya’, and ‘Surma’. Amidst this the artists also performed the traditional dance which can be witnessed during different festivals in Punjab like Bhangara and Gidda. Her group ended its performance with songs which were sung during Lohri.

The event started off with Sameer Mahi’s ‘Allah Ho’ song which filled with the auditorium with enthusiasm. This was followed by Nishat Bano’s group song ‘Mera Aala Jat Ga’, ‘Suhery Cheere Waliya’, and ‘Surma’. Her group ended its performance with songs which were sung during Lohri. Amidst this the artists also performed the traditional dance which can be witnessed during different festivals in Punjab like Bhangara and Gidda.
