Treat of new releases for book lovers

BHOPAL: The maiden Bhopal Literature Festival proved to be a treat for book cynosures. In the second book, the author has brought together 150 famous dishes from their kitchens on paper with historical insights. The author discusses several aspects of the book with Rizawan-ul-Haq on the last day of the festival. It is an amalgamation of many of those old-school ideas that modern nutrition is now trying to catch up with. ‘Fool’s Creation’ by Geetanjali Jain was also released during the event.

BHOPAL: The maiden Bhopal Literature Festival proved to be a treat for book cynosures. A number of books by noted authors from different parts of the country were released on the sidelines of the sessions held during the three-day event.‘Wild Madhya Pradesh ,’ a book by wildlife expert and environmentalist Bittu Sehgal was released during the inaugural session of the event in presence of dignitaries. The book encapsulates the beautiful and diverse wildlife found in jungles as well as wildlife sanctuaries and national parks in the state.‘Bhopal: Echoes of an Era’ written by Joe Alvares was released on Day-2 of the event. The book enshrines the history of Bhopal in a unique way.With original recipes, Sunita Kohli launched two of her books — ‘Cuisine and Intangible Culture’ and ‘The Lucknow Cookbook’ — that compiled the famous Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb through a blend of art and food. In the second book, the author has brought together 150 famous dishes from their kitchens on paper with historical insights. Another cookbook ‘Ultimate Grandmother Hacks’ by Kavita Devgan was also released on the occasion. It is an amalgamation of many of those old-school ideas that modern nutrition is now trying to catch up with. It is an enticing guide to encourage healthy food habits for a better lifestyle blending taste with health.Another book ‘Maut ki Kitab’ written by Khalid Javed, a noted fiction writer of Urdu, was launched at the event. The author discusses several aspects of the book with Rizawan-ul-Haq on the last day of the festival. ‘Fool’s Creation’ by Geetanjali Jain was also released during the event.
