Strays big threat on Bhopal roads, claim another biker’s life

BHOPAL: In yet another accident involving stray animal on road, a 26-year-old SAF personnel died on Tuesday night after a dog came in front of his bike which led him to losing control over the vehicle. The incident took place on January 11 near Link Road number 3 while the deceased was returning home with his friend.Investigating officer ASI Baburam said that deceased was identified as Roshan, a resident of south TT Nagar. On getting information from hospital, Chuna Bhatti police registered a case and started investigation.Speaking to TOI, ASI Baburam said, “Around 11:30pm on January 11, Roshan was returning home from Bittan Market along with his friend Sondhiya. When they reached near Balvir Nagar road, a dog suddenly came in front of their bike due to which Sondhiya, who was driving, lost control over the bike and slipped. While Sondhiya suffered minor injuries, Roshan sustained severe injuries.”Sondhiya then rushed him to a nearby hospital, Baburam added. However, the 26-year-old died while undergoing treatment on Tuesday night. Police said the incident would get clearer after Sondhiya’s statements would be recorded.Police said Roshan had got a job in SAF on compassionate grounds after death of his father around eight years back. He was unmarried and was living with his mother and sister.Meanwhile, a 33-year-old man died in another road accident which took place on December 31. Khajuri police received zero FIR from Habibganj police and registered a case on Tuesday and started investigation.Investigating officer SI Inder Singh said that the deceased was identified as Mukesh, a resident of Sehore district . He worked as a labourer. On December 31, Mukesh was returning home after finishing work. When he reached near Hathai Kheda area of Fanda, he lost control of his bike and slipped. He sustained severe injuries on head and was rushed to a nearby hospital, said SI Singh.However, Mukesh died on January 13 while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
