“The government has stopped funding for several ambitious schemes, but expenses on ministers’ bungalows would be done. Chairs, tables, ceiling fans, beds and electrical goods were missing from the bungalows. No MLA from BJP would damage or remove internal fittings from government bungalow,” said BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma, who won the Huzur assembly seat from Bhopal by defeating Congress candidate Naresh Gyanchandani.Former minister Umashankar Gupta dubbed the allegations as baseless. The secretariat also bore expenses on internal furnishings and gadgets fitted in bungalows. Before handing over bungalows to ministers, officials conduct a physical verification and recover damages, if any, from who had occupied the bungalow.Launching a counter-attack on the Congress government, BJP said the state government and ministers were trying to justify overspend.
