Markets in Bhopal remain closed to pay tributes to Pulwama martyrs

BHOPAL: All the main markets remained closed for half day in Bhopal on Monday to pay tributes to the martyrs of Pulwama terror attack . Markets in half of the city of Sheopur were closed on Sunday while half of them were remained closed on Monday.Tiranga bike rallies were organized in Panna while candle march was taken out in Chhatarpur and Tikamgarh on Sunday night.Markets of all these cities also remained closed on Sunday. The bandh was observed after a call given by the state unit of Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT).After the bandh call, the traders remained their shops closed till 1 pm , said Kailash Agrawal , state president of the CAIT. He said that the kirana associations of different markets of Bhopal, the Sarrafa association of Chowk Bhopal and the association of traders in MP Nagar, Arera Colony and the BHEL localities participated in the bandh.He said that the members of CAIT in Madhya Pradesh will also collect funds for the families of the martyrs.Similar bandhs were also observed in other parts of the state during the last 2 days.
