Army's cycling tour reaches Bhopal

BHOPAL: Raised in 1911, Corps of Signals of the Indian Army celebrated its 109th Corps Day on February 15.To commemorate this event on behalf of Corps of Signals, a cycling expedition was undertaken by a team from Signal Training Centre, Jabalpur. The expedition was flagged off by Lt Gen Rajesh Rana, Vishisht Seva Medal Madhya Bharat Area on February 12. The team will travel to Saugor for the next phase of the expedition.

The 15-member team was led by Lt Col Mahesh.Under the motto of 'Our Veterans Our Heritage', the cycling expedition will travel an approximate distance of 1200km along the route of Jabalpur-Narsinghpur-Hoshangabad-Harda-Mhow-Bhopal-Saugor- Panna- Satna in fourteen days. The expedition will culminate on February 27. The cycle expedition reached Bhopal on February 18. The team interacted with Indian Army veterans a day later. The expedition then set off once again on Wednesday from Yodhasthal in presence of the Army veterans and serving personnel. The team will travel to Saugor for the next phase of the expedition.
