BHOPAL: Twenty days after the twins who were kidnapped at gunpoint from their school bus in MP's Satna district were murdered, another five-year-old child who was abducted on March 12 was murdered on Wednesday afternoon. Kidnappers had sought a ransom of Rs 2 lakh, but the body of the kid was found in the backyard of his house at around 2pm on Wednesday.The incident took place at Rakhikwara village under Nagaud police station of the district. Deceased Shivkant Prajapati, 5, son of Rajesh Prajapati was playing outside his house on Tuesday when he went missing, said sources.Later, when the child did not return home, family members started searching for him. Later after hours of searching, they got it announced from the local village mosque, but the kid could not be found. It was around 7pm in the evening that the uncle of the deceased kid got a phone call from an unidentified caller demanding Rs 2 lakh as ransom against the release of Shivkant, added sources. The kin then rushed to Nagaud police station and informed about it. Subsequently, police started investigations and five people were rounded up, but to no avail, added sources.SP Satna Santosh Singh Gaur confirmed that ransom call was received. “The kid has been murdered and his body has been found in the backyard of his house,” Gaur who was on the crime spot, told TOI.It is noteworthy that earlier the twins Priyansh and Shreyansh were kidnapped at gunpoint from their schoolbus on their campus in Chitrakoot in Satna on February 12. There is spine-chilling CCTV footage of the abduction, showing two masked men who barged into the bus with trotting guns to the shock and dismay of the bus attendant, staff and other kids. Later, on February 23, bodies of the twins were found from Yamuna river in Banda district of Uttar Pradesh.
