Unlike BJP, he does not sell fake dreams and lie to his constituents. I hope the government starts recruiting more women in police force and women also need to be more involved in helping each other. He has been touring the constituency as though he's on election mode for the last five years. Proper education and nutrition are important for mothers as well. It is also important to have quick justice in crimes against women.

With AICC general secretary Jyotiraditya Scindia leading the Congress campaign in western Uttar Pradesh , one of the toughest battlefields of politics, his wife Priyadarshini Raje Scindia is holding fort back home and mobilising party workers in Guna constituency, leading to speculation that she may contest this time. Will she? Excerpts from an interview:We have a wonderful team in place. He has been touring the constituency as though he's on election mode for the last five years. Unlike BJP, he does not sell fake dreams and lie to his constituents. So, there is a huge level of trust between our people and us. At the end of the day, if they need help to get a BPL card done, school built, or road made, they know it will be him that does it.Really, I think like the rest of the media, you will also have to wait and see. Not too long now.I don't understand the relation. My husband has chosen politics to serve his people. Currently, I choose not to because I feel I am still able to do public service the way I prefer. It's important to understand the situation on the ground, and the reason why things are the way they are. Malnutrition in children also stems from poor nutrition in the gestation period. Proper education and nutrition are important for mothers as well. Unfortunately, it is something that the previous government has ignored. We need to bring better health services from pregnancy to childbirth and beyond, and provision of nutrition for both the mother and the child in the early years. We need better equipped anganwadis and support systems for families. I think these are just tiny steps in our battle against malnutrition.Safety for our women and children has always been foremost on my husband's agenda. If we don't feel safe in our homes and neighbourhoods, then what is the point of saying our borders are safe or talking about our nuclear power? I hope the government starts recruiting more women in police force and women also need to be more involved in helping each other. More real-time helplines in neighbourhood, and citizen-involved initiatives are required. It is also important to have quick justice in crimes against women. We should have counselling cells for the survivors of such crimes and their family.
