Fire breaks out at Vidhan Sabha auditorium

Bhopal: A fire broke out in the auditorium of the Vidhan Sabha on Tuesday. Although no injuries were reported in the incident, it exposed the fire safety arrangements in one of the state’s safest buildings. The fire is said to have been triggered by a short circuit. No major loss was reported at the site. Sajid Khan, an official of the fire department said that the fire was doused quickly.Kamlesh Singh, security officer at the Vidhan Sabha said the fire broke out in the morning when the staff was on duty in auditorium number 7 at around 11am.Four fire tenders from Pul Bogda were rushed to the spot and it took half an hour to douse the flames that had gripped a part of the auditorium along with the walls.
