Citizens celebrate World Sparrow Day

Every year World Sparrow Day across the world to make people aware of the birds and their lifestyle. The sparrows can be called as the urban birds as they make their nests in the buildings and many-a-times their nests can be found in the rooftops too. A volunteer Himani said that the cheerful chirping of the sparrows are slowly fading away and thus its time to take steps for them. An education and awareness program was organised in the city in which the citizens learnt about the conservation of these birds, and how earthen pots should be kept so that these birds can quench their thirst in the summer season.
