Bhopal: After chief minister Kamal Nath announced the candidature of senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh from Bhopal, former leader of opposition Ajay Singh suggested that party’s “big leaders” from Gwalior-Chambal region should contest polls from Indore and the Malwa-Nimar region. Asked where he will contest from in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, Ajay Singh said, “I will contest from wherever the party wants me to —Sidhi or Satna.” Without naming him, Ajay Singh was hinting that former Union minister of state Jyotiraditya Scindia should contest from another tough seat – Indore.“Digvijaya Singh is a big leader and has a massive influence. Indore was last won by the Congress party in 1984 and Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan has been the BJP MP from the seat since 1989.Speaking about chief minister Kamal Nath, the former LoP said that the chief minister will be contesting the bypolls from Chhindwara assembly seat.
