BHOPAL: With mercury touching 40.8 degree Celsius, the state capital recorded the highest temperature of the season on Saturday. Parts of MP could also witness showers due to moisture incursion and heating.The day temperature in Bhopal was 40.8 degree Celsius, five degrees more than the normal mark, while the night temperature was 23 degree Celsius, four degrees more than the normal mark. The highest temperature in the state was recorded in Khargone at 45 degree Celsius. Met officials said that the day temperature in more than half of MP was above the 40 degrees mark. The day and night temperatures would be around 41 degree and 23 degree Celsius respectively, while the average wind speed will be 20 kilometres per hour.
