Within 24 hours after the Madhya Pradesh Raj Bhavan was declared ‘containment-free’ zone, another person was tested positive on the campus on Tuesday. One of the labourers working inside the campus has been tested positive, said sources in Governor House. Earlier ten people living inside the campus had tested positive for covid19 promoting the administration to declare Raj Bhavan a containment zone on May 27. As the campus houses large numbers of staffers of the Governor, including a Grade IV employee, his kin and others had tested positive for Covid19 and later ten of these people were hospitalised and their families were shifted to quarantine. On Monday, the Raj Bhavan had announced that the campus has turned into a containment free zone as 385 samples taken from Raj Bhavan staff were tested negative. In between the campus was declared a restricted zone amid covid19 scare. Meanwhile, it was also interesting that district administration had issued no notification in this regard. Political circles were abuzz with the speculations whether the decision to declare Raj Bhavan a covid19 free zone was done to facilitate oath taking for the Shivraj Cabinet expansion which is expected to take place shortly. Normally it takes three weeks-time to declare any containment zone corona free. Besides, an employee (Reporter) of MP assembly secretariat and a contractual sanitation worker of SBI head office in Bhopal were also tested covid19 positive on Tuesday. The employees were returned from SBI office gate on Tuesday and the office building was sanitised. On Tuesday, Bhopal reported 39 fresh cases of covid19 taking the tally of positive cases to 1574 including 60 deaths. Indore’s positive cases have reached 3570 and the total infections have reached in state to 8405.
