Miscreants escape with gold, silver jewellery worth Rs 1 lakh

Miscreants targeted a house of a forest department employee at Alfia Apartment Chicklod road and escaped with gold and silver jewellery worth Rs 1 lakh on Monday; Jehangirabad police have started investigation. Police said that the victim Khursheed Siddiqui along with his family had gone to Indore and got stranded during the lockdown and when he returned on Monday the valuables were found burgled. The victim has claimed that the total loss in the burglary is around Rs 1 lakh. Gold, silver jewellery, household goods and Rs 11000 cash were found missing claimed the victim.The lock of the almirah was found broken and the cash and gold jewellery were found burgled. The police have registered a case under sections 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.

A complaint was lodged by the victim with the Jehangirabad police and in his complaint, he stated that he along with his family had gone to Indore in the month of March and when they returned they found that the locks were found broken and valuables were burgled.The victim claimed that gold and silver jewelry were burgled. The victim has claimed that the total loss in the burglary is around Rs 1 lakh. Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under sections 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.Police said that the CCTV footage of the nearby installed cameras would be searched in the further investigation. The neighbours were not aware of the burglary. Meanwhile, valuables worth Rs 1 lakh were burgled from Sanjeev Nagar under Nishatpura police station area on Monday.According to the police, the victim Rajiv Sharma had gone to visit his relative and when he returned on Monday he found that the valuables were missing. A complaint was made by the victim with the Nishatpura police and in the complaint the victim had claimed that on his return he found that the locks were broken and on entering the house was found ransacked. Gold, silver jewellery, household goods and Rs 11000 cash were found missing claimed the victim.The lock of the almirah was found broken and the cash and gold jewellery were found burgled.
