Moderate to heavy rain likely in MP

Under the influence of cyclonic storm Nisarg and western disturbance in the next 48 hours light to moderate rain and heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected over most of parts of the State. The Met has issued warning of heavy rainfall in Raisen, Sehore, Hoshangabad, Betul, Harda, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Khargone, Badwani, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Dhar, Dewas, Chhindwara, Sagar, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh and Shajapur districts. The warning of thunder lightening with speedy winds of 30-40km/hr has been issued for Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Indore, Jabalpur, Sagar, Ujjain, Gwalior, Rewa, Shahdol and Chambal divisions. Jabalpur, Rewa, Shahdol, Indore, Ujjain, Hoshangabad and Bhopal divisions recorded rainfall in the past 24 hours. On Wednesday till 5.30 pm Mandla recorded 11 cm of rainfall Malanjkhand recorded 10 cm of rainfall, Khargone recorded 7 cm of rainfall, Chhindwara recorded 4 cm of rainfall, Panchmarhi recorded 2 cm of rainfall while Bhopal, Jabalpur, Hoshangabad, Ujjain also recorded rainfall.

State capital which recorded day temperature at 32.2 degree Celsius would dip further to 29 degree Celsius on Thursday. The weather conditions would remain cloudy and thundery activities with speedy winds would be witnessed. Jabalpur, Rewa, Shahdol, Indore, Ujjain, Hoshangabad and Bhopal divisions recorded rainfall in the past 24 hours. In the past 24 hours Jawad, Manpur, Pandurna recorded 3 cm of rainfall, Mokhed, Seoni, Manasa recorded 2 cm of rainfall, Chand, Bichua, Anuppur, Chaurai , Umareh, Nepanagar, Multai, Burhanpur and Neemuch 1 cm of rainfall each. On Wednesday till 5.30 pm Mandla recorded 11 cm of rainfall Malanjkhand recorded 10 cm of rainfall, Khargone recorded 7 cm of rainfall, Chhindwara recorded 4 cm of rainfall, Panchmarhi recorded 2 cm of rainfall while Bhopal, Jabalpur, Hoshangabad, Ujjain also recorded rainfall. The temperatures recorded significant dip in Rewa, Bhopal and Gwalior divisions and day temperatures are likely to drop by 2-3 degrees Celsius in some parts of state during the next 2-3 days.
