Director Sports and Youth Welfare VK Singh said that the thermal screening of sportspersons was first carried out under his instructions and a workshop was organised to inform them about prevention of COVID 19 infection. Staff including 30 players from the shooting and athletics games participated in this workshop.Instructions to sports coaches were given by the Director of Sports V.K Singh, in a meeting. All the sports coaches were instructed to strictly follow the departmental guidelines.A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Joint Director Vinod Pradhan in which all sports coaches were discussed in detail regarding prevention of COVID 19. After discussion with the sports coaches and staff, it was decided in the meeting to first conduct thermal screening of the players. Also, the process of Covid test should be continued. It should be ensured that Arogya Setu App is mandatory in everyone's mobile. Vinod Pradhan informed that the entry of players, trainers and staff in the content area will be restricted. In the meeting, instructions were given to sports coaches to ensure strict adherence to the guide line prepared by the department.In order to make the players aware of COVID 19, a workshop was held at the TT Nagar Stadium in which micro biologist and sanitisation expert Deepesh Awasthi helped the sportspersons and staff to learn about corona virus and its prevention.
