To mark World Enviornment Day, event to be held online

An online programme will be held on Friday by Regional Science Centre. The event will be held online to observe the World Enviornment Day. The event will be held for school students. World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated on 5 June every year, and is the United Nations' principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of our environment. World Environment Day has grown to become a global platform for public outreach, with participation from over 143 countries annually.

An online programme will be held on Friday by Regional Science Centre. The event will be held online to observe the World Enviornment Day. The event will be held for school students. An elocution competition will be organised for classes 9 to 12 under category I. The elocution will be held on the topic Role of Humans and How Science Can Lead Us In Protecting Our Environment. Another category will be of college students. The topic for this category is Taking Science Museums to the unreachable during pandemic. The event will be held on Facebook Live. World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated on 5 June every year, and is the United Nations' principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of our environment. First held in 1974, it has been a flagship campaign for raising awareness on emerging from environmental issues to marine pollution, human overpopulation, and global warming, to sustainable consumption and wildlife crime. World Environment Day has grown to become a global platform for public outreach, with participation from over 143 countries annually.
