- | Friday | 5th June, 2020
The Indore Hostel Owners Association has given a memorandum to Indore collector Manish Singh highlighting the fact that for 3 months the students have not paid any fees to the hostel administration. There are two types of hostel owners in Indore one who are the owner of the hostel and other who take the building on rent and then run the hostel. Both the hostel owners have to pay the bank installments, property tax, electricity tax, water tax, garbage collection tax, permission tax, license fees and many other taxes to the Government regularly. The families of the hostel owners and the thousands of workers engaged in these hostels like cook, room attendant, maid servant, helpers, watchman and drivers are fully dependent on the fees which is given by the students. Also at few hostels the students are reporting to police and taking their bag and baggage forcefully without paying any fees to the hostel owner for which Indore hostel owners association has informed to Indore DIG Harinarayanchari Mishra.
