West MP likely to witness thunderstorm in next 24 hrs

After settling ‘Nisraga’ cyclone, west Madhya Pradesh is likely to witness thunderstorm accompanied with lightning at isolated place in the region in the next 24 hours. Day temperatures witnessed an increase on Friday after a significant dip on Thursday which occurred due to heavy rainfall at most of the places in the State. State Capital witnessed day temperature at 32.6 degree Celsius on Friday which was 10 degree Celsius higher from Thursday’s day temperature. In the past 24 hours, most of the regions in Jabalpur, Rewa, Shahdol, Sagar, Hoshangabad, Gwalior, Bhopal, Indore and Ujjain witnessed rain. Met department has issued warning of thundery activities and lightening in Ujjain division in the next 24 hours.

Cyclonic circulation persists over west Rajasthan and adjoining areas. A low pressure area is likely to develop over the eastern parts of the Bay of West Central Bengal on June 8 which might induce heavy to very heavy rainfall with rainfall from most places in central India including Madhya Pradesh during 10 to 12 June. Met department has issued warning of thundery activities and lightening in Ujjain division in the next 24 hours. According to the forecast thunder showers and lightening activities would be witnessed in Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Indore, Rewa, Shahdol divisions and and Katni, Jabalpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, Shivpuri, Gwalior and Sheopur kalan districts. Moderate rainfall has been recorded in the State. Hata recorded 15 cm while Mangwa, Sihowal 13 cm each , Sinronj 12, Powai 11, Rewa, Panna 10, Hanumna, Satna, Mauganj, Gudh, Ramnagar, Ajaygarh, Lateri 9 cm each, Amarpatan, Nagod 8 cm each, Sidhi, Rampur Baghelaan,Sirmour, Patera 7 cm each, Damoh, Gunnaur, Sagar, Ganjbasauda, Vidisha 6 cm each.
