SPE Ujjain nabs Patwari for taking bribe

The Special Police Establishment (SPE) of the lokayukta Ujjain nabbed Patwari accepting Rs 10,000 cash to facilitate land transfer at district collector office on Friday. According to the lokayukta officials, the accused Patwari Inder Singh was caught accepting bribe of Rs 7000 from farmer Amar Singh. The victim had gone for land transfer and where he was provided with the process and apart from the legal fees for documentation the Patwari demanded bribe of Rs 10000 and later agreed to do the job for Rs 7000. The victim decided to logde a complaint with the Lokayukt and on Friday he was sent to the accused Patwari and was asked to record bribe demanded by the accused. Further investigation into the matter has been started.
