Police nab six persons for gambling, recover Rs 37K cash

Ratibad police arrested six persons for gambling and recovered Rs 37000 cash from their possession from a farm house in the area in the night on Thursday. The farm house was found to be owned by owner of college. The accused claimed that they came to the farm house for the first time for gambling. Most of the gamblers nabbed are well to do and claimed that they were playing for fun. Meanwhile, Jehangirabad police have arrested 7 gamblers and recovered Rs 2000 cash from their possession near Baba hotel on Wednesday.

Ratibad police arrested six persons for gambling and recovered Rs 37000 cash from their possession from a farm house in the area in the night on Thursday. Acting on a tip off half a dozen gamblers were caught gambling by Ratibad police. Police received information that gamblers with big bets are gambling and on the receipt of the information the place was raided which was farm house owned by Ravi Patel. The farm house was found to be owned by owner of college. The sarpanch Chittar Singh was found in the raid conducted. Police said that the in the raid the gamblers were found gambling in a room. The raid was conducted after receiving information of suspicious activities in the area and based on the tip off raid when the raid was conducted gamblers were nabbed and around Rs 37000 cash were recovered from their possession. The nabbed Bheru Singh who is a famer, Gabbar Singh who is a property dealer, Vijay Parashar owns a stone crusher, Sunil and Kannoj. The accused claimed that they came to the farm house for the first time for gambling. Police said that few of the records of the nabbed which would be searched. Most of the gamblers nabbed are well to do and claimed that they were playing for fun. The police have registered a case under Gambling Act and started further investigation. Meanwhile, Jehangirabad police have arrested 7 gamblers and recovered Rs 2000 cash from their possession near Baba hotel on Wednesday. The nabbed were identified as Zeeshan, Shakahwat, Nabeel, Afzal, Javed and Naved.
