Principle secratory inspects colleges

Principal Secretary Higher Education Anupam Rajan conducted surprise inspection of Government Sarojini Naidu Girls College and Government M.L.B. Remaining students, who did not or unable to get the documents verified online, they can get their documents verified by visiting the nearest government colleges till August 20. In wake of Covid-19 pandemic, students have been urged not to wait for the last date and get the documents verified at the earliest. Thermal screening arrangement should be made at the entrance of the colleges and token related to verification room number should be given to the students. On their turn only, students should enter room and get their documents verified.

Principal Secretary Higher Education Anupam Rajan conducted surprise inspection of Government Sarojini Naidu Girls College and Government M.L.B. College on Friday. During the visit, he informed that under the Higher Education Department, the E-Pravesh process is underway in colleges of the state; so far, about 50 percent of the students have got their database verified online. Remaining students, who did not or unable to get the documents verified online, they can get their documents verified by visiting the nearest government colleges till August 20. In wake of Covid-19 pandemic, students have been urged not to wait for the last date and get the documents verified at the earliest. SMS is also being sent to the students in this regard. During the inspection, Shri Rajan instructed that number of counters for verification of documents should be increased in colleges to facilitate students to get their documents verified following complete social distancing. Each room should have one counter only. Thermal screening arrangement should be made at the entrance of the colleges and token related to verification room number should be given to the students. On their turn only, students should enter room and get their documents verified. Rajan further mentioned that students are required to wear face masks mandatorily and follow the social distancing completely. During the inspection, Shri Rajan was accompanied by the Commissioner Higher Education Mahesh Shukla. Rajan has directed all collectors to make nodal officer in each college of their districts for this work. Principal of the leading college of district will coordinate in this work. Additional Directors Education will ensure that the work of verification should be completed with convenience in every college of their respective areas with adherence to all corona related precautions.
