A webinar was organized on the theme 'Highlights of New Education Policy' on Saturday. Narayan Ramaswamy, National Leader of Skill India and Education of KPMG was present as the keynote speaker. He explained important things in the context of the new education policy and discussed the implications of them. Notably, state level panel on "Skill Development and Higher Education" has been formed by CII Madhya Pradesh and hence the webinar was organised. Narayan Ramaswamy explained the main points of the new education policy in detail. He explained that integration of early childhood care and education in school education is necessary. Apart from this, there has been talk of incorporating various education streams, scientific temper, 21st century future skills in Karikulam. Along with this, it has been said to give equal importance to Arts, Sciences, Vocational Education and Extra Curriculum. There is talk of adopting mother tongue as the medium of instruction till class 5. Taking forward his point, he also discussed the possible consequences of the new education policy. He also spoke on the challenges and solutions in the midst of good education. The main panel of the webinar included Siddharth Chaturvedi and co-convener BS Yadav, chairman of CII Bhopal zone and convener of the panel on higher education and skills formed by CII. Earlier, BS Yadav gave a welcome statement and Siddharth Chaturvedi played the moderator and introduced the speaker. More than 200 people from industry and academis also participated in the webinar.
