Plantation drive held at Major Dhyanchand hockey stadium

A plantation drive was held on Monday at Major Dhyanchand Hockey Stadium. The players of Olympics planted saplings under initiative ‘Saanse Ho Rahin Kum, Aao Paudhe Lagaye Hum’. Divisional Commissioner Kavindra Kiyawat planted saplings of Tipri here. Olympians and international players were honored by the guests on the occasion. 2 Snooker player Kamal Chawla, International Hockey player Irfan Yusuf, Arjun and Vishwamitra Awardee Hockey Instructor Rajinder Singh, Arjun Awardee Sailing Instructor G. L. Yadav and Arjun Awardee Rowing Instructor Captain Dalbir Singh, Joint Director Sports B.S.

A plantation drive was held on Monday at Major Dhyanchand Hockey Stadium. The players of Olympics planted saplings under initiative ‘Saanse Ho Rahin Kum, Aao Paudhe Lagaye Hum’. On this occasion, ADG Upendra Jain, Director Sports and Youth Welfare Pawan Kumar Jain, CEO Smart City Aditya Singh and Olympians and international players were present as special guests. Divisional Commissioner Kavindra Kiyawat planted saplings of Tipri here. He thanked for organizing such a campaign all over the country. Hundreds of saplings of 8 to 10 feet, each aged 3-4 years, have been planted for planting in this complex. Divisional Commissioner said that awareness about environment has increased and it is the responsibility of all citizens to make the environment green by taking real care of the plants. Addressing the plantation programme, Director Sports and Youth Welfare, Pawan Kumar Jain said that in order to save the earth from the polluted environment, the plantation program is being conducted as ‘Saansien ho rahi kam, aao paudhe lagaien hum’ campaign to benefit its people. He also praised the serviceman of the gurudwara Shri Natha Singh for providing the saplings and said that free saplings are being provided by the institution for plantation. Director of Sports Jain informed that besides Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy, Horse Riding Academy, Babe Ali and Ankur Sports Complex, Bhopal, plantation will be held. Olympians and international players were honored by the guests on the occasion. In the plantation programme, Olympian Sameer Dad, World No. 2 Snooker player Kamal Chawla, International Hockey player Irfan Yusuf, Arjun and Vishwamitra Awardee Hockey Instructor Rajinder Singh, Arjun Awardee Sailing Instructor G. L. Yadav and Arjun Awardee Rowing Instructor Captain Dalbir Singh, Joint Director Sports B.S. Yadav, along with other officials, sports coaches and sportspersons planted the saplings with enthusiastic participation.
