Tatya Tope screened on 3rd day of online theatre festival

Marking the concluding day of three-day online theatre festival, Hindi play Tatya Tope was presented. Notably, the three day online theatre fest was organised by the Saghan Society for Cultural and Welfare, Bhopal. Tatya Tope was performed by the artists of Saghan Society of Culture and Wefare. In the play, Tatya Tope was shown as a young soldier in the revolt against the British in 1857. Tatya Tope promised to protect his nation till his last breath.

Marking the concluding day of three-day online theatre festival, Hindi play Tatya Tope was presented. The play was presented on Facebook Live page of Saghan Society on Monday. Notably, the three day online theatre fest was organised by the Saghan Society for Cultural and Welfare, Bhopal. Tatya Tope was performed by the artists of Saghan Society of Culture and Wefare. The play was directed by Anand Mishra and was written by Sunil Mishra. In the play, Tatya Tope was shown as a young soldier in the revolt against the British in 1857. He was brave and clever like a leopard. He fought fiercely against British rule. He faced difficulties and struggles and was defeated many times and still did not give up. He was a diplomat as well as a good warrior who was hanged on 18 April 1859 in Shivpuri. The British would never have caught him if his trustful man Mansingh had not cheated on them. With the help of Mansingh, the British caught him by deception. Tatya Tope promised to protect his nation till his last breath. He joined forces with Bajirao Peshwa and Nana Saheb to force the British to chew iron gram. Performers on stage included Vishal Acharya, Anup Shukla, Himanshi Gupta, Shivendra Singh, Shakshi Shukla, Prabhakar Dubey, Rajat, Pawan, Anurag Jain, Sonali Dhurbhe, Usha Yadav, Ankit Dhurbhe, Samarth Mahore, Vivek Singh, Lalit Singh, Manendra Maran, Udaybhan Yadav, Radheshyam, Ram Das Sahara, Selendra Raghuvanshi, Archana Kumar, Hiru Chatterjee, Manish Banasod presented wonderful performances. The music of the play was composed by Surendra Wankhede.
