Heavy rain likely across State till Aug 17

State would be witnessing heavy to very rainfall till August 17 as warning has been issued by Met department of heavy rainfall across the State. Except few regions very heavy rainfall is likely to be witnessed across the State. In the season current spell of rainfall in so far the best as all regions are witnessing heavy rainfall for the past 3-4 days and would continue for the next four days. On Thursday Betul recorded 5 cm, Hoshangabad recorded 3 cm, Nowgong and Chhindwara recorded 2.5 cm each, Sidhi 2 cm, Bhopal, Indore, Rewa and Satna recorded 1 cm of rainfall each. Met department has issued warning of very heavy rainfall for Chhindwara, Balaghat, Betul, Harda, Khandwa, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Dhar districts while heavy rainfall would be witnessed in Anuppur, Dindori, Chhatrapur, Sehorr, Rajgarh,Hoshangabad, Burhanpur, Khargone, Badwani, Dewas,Agar, Shivpuri, Datia, Morena , Sheopur.

State capital recorded little rainfall on Thursday, cloud cover remained throughout the day. On Friday heavy brief spells along with light showers would be witnessed. The difference in temperatures have narrowed as day temperature was recorded at 25.7 while night temperature was recorded at 24 degree Celsius. On Thursday Betul recorded 5 cm, Hoshangabad recorded 3 cm, Nowgong and Chhindwara recorded 2.5 cm each, Sidhi 2 cm, Bhopal, Indore, Rewa and Satna recorded 1 cm of rainfall each. The system over northern Bay of Bengal and favorable weather conditions and the possibility of continuous convergence of southeast winds would induce heavy to very heavy rains in most parts of Madhya Pradesh till August 20. The system over the northern Bay of Bengal would gain intensity in the next 2-3 days. Met department has issued warning of very heavy rainfall for Chhindwara, Balaghat, Betul, Harda, Khandwa, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Dhar districts while heavy rainfall would be witnessed in Anuppur, Dindori, Chhatrapur, Sehorr, Rajgarh,Hoshangabad, Burhanpur, Khargone, Badwani, Dewas,Agar, Shivpuri, Datia, Morena , Sheopur.
