Bhoomi pujan of Maa Narmada Irrigation Project performed

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan performed bhoomi pujan of the ambitious Maa Narmada Irrigation Project costing around Rs 2,400 crore at Sanver in Indore district. Irrigation facility will also be made available for one lakh 58,147 acres of these villages. This scheme will write a new chapter of development in Sanver constituency as well as the whole of Indore district. He said that the State Government, has made the impossible possible with its strong will power, by implementing the Narmada Irrigation Project worth Rs 2,400 crore in Sanver region. In this connection, the State Government has performed bhoomi pujan of Rs 2,400 crore project.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan performed bhoomi pujan of the ambitious Maa Narmada Irrigation Project costing around Rs 2,400 crore at Sanver in Indore district. Former Union Minister and MP Jyotiraditya Scindia presided over the programme. As many as 178 villages of Sanver assembly constituency in Indore district will benefit from the scheme. Irrigation facility will also be made available for one lakh 58,147 acres of these villages. Along with this, water for drinking and industrial purpose will also be available in these villages. About 2.5 lakh villagers will directly benefit from the scheme. This scheme will write a new chapter of development in Sanver constituency as well as the whole of Indore district. Chouhan said that the process of rapid development has been resumed in the state. The impossible task of development is being made possible in the State. Our Government is known for making the impossible work possible. He said that the impossible task of taking the Narmada water from village to village for irrigation and drinking water has also been initiated by our government. The scheme is being expanded. Chouhan said that the interests of farmers will be fully taken care of in the State. The state government has got the crop insurance amount of Rs 4688 crores deposited in the accounts of farmers by depositing premium under the Prime Ministers Crop Insurance Scheme. He said that every single rupee of farmers who have suffered crop loss recently will be compensated. Referring to the scheme being run by the state government, the Chief Minister said that our government is extending benefits of the schemes to every deprived person. There will no dearth of funds for development of the state. Rajya Sabha MP Jyotiraditya Scindia said that our thoughts and resolve for development and progress are being realised now. New dimensions of development and progress will be created. He said that the State Government, has made the impossible possible with its strong will power, by implementing the Narmada Irrigation Project worth Rs 2,400 crore in Sanver region. Scindia said that when the people's representatives work with sensitivity, development gets new pace. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that it is the responsibility of the public representatives to fulfill the resolutions. Promises made to the public must not be broken and public must not be cheated, because otherwise the public never forgives those who cheated on them. Former Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya said that the state government is making special efforts for Sanvers development. In this connection, the State Government has performed bhoomi pujan of Rs 2,400 crore project. He said that the state government is working at a rapid pace with total commitment, for the welfare of farmers.
