CM Shivraj met PM Modi; 485 crore state emergency fund sought permission to spend in corona management

CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan met PM Narendra Modi in Delhi on Tuesday. He has also sought permission from the PM to spend 485 crore rupees for the State Emergency Fund in corona management.

CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan met PM Narendra Modi in Delhi on Tuesday. He has also sought permission from the PM to spend 485 crore rupees for the State Emergency Fund in corona management. Along with this, the National Disaster Relief Fund has asked for assistance of 3 thousand 646 crores for Madhya Pradesh. The two leaders met for about half an hour.

The Chief Minister informed the Prime Minister about the various schemes and works being run in the state. He explained in detail the efforts being made by the state government to tackle the Kovid-19 epidemic.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan also gave information about the damage done to the crops of farmers due to excessive rainfall in the state. To deal with this disaster, Prime Minister Modi requested the National Disaster Relief Fund to provide assistance of Rs 3 thousand 646 crore soon. He said that with this help the farmers will be able to compensate the losses due to excessive rains and pest-diseases and farmers will be able to prepare for the upcoming rabi crops.

Permission sought from PM for Covid expenditure 

Chief Minister urged Prime Minister Modi to allow expenditure of Rs 291.15 crore for management of Kovid-19 amounting to Rs 485.40 crore reserved for State Emergency Fund. Also demanded that 193.09 crores left in this head should be allowed to spend on Kovid Management.

During the meeting informed about Agriculture Bills and Poor Welfare Week , the Chief Minister presented to the Prime Minister a handbook on the action taken by the State Government in relation to the Agriculture Bills recently passed by Parliament. The Chief Minister explained in detail about various programs organized by the state government during the poor welfare week in the state- Annas Utsav, Nutrition Utsav, Kisan Utsav, Vanadhikar Utsav, Aajeevika Utsav, Sakh Utsav, Sambal Utsav, Pratibha Utsav.

Modi was also informed about the Chief Minister Kisan Kalyan Yojana being run in the state. He informed that under this scheme, all the eligible beneficiary farmer families of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi are being provided an amount of Rs 04 thousand in two installments, 02 thousand rupees per installment, directly in their accounts by the state government in a financial year.
