Suspecting casting of black magic, a 50-year-old woman was killed by his neighbour who attacked her with a sharp edged weapon in the afternoon on Tuesday; Shahpura police arrested the accused. The deceased, Shanta Bai Meena, was booming outside her house in the afternoon when the accused identified as Rajkumar alias Raju Meena came with an axe, attacked her which resulted in her death. She was taken to hospital where she was declared dead. Locals informed the police and acting swiftly, the accused was nabbed. SHO Katara Hills Punendra Singh said that the accused revealed that the deceased used to cast black magic but the deceased was involved in any kind of such activities was not found in the investigation. The accused believed that the deceased was involved in witch craft. The accused is alone and left house twice in the past. He lives in the neighbour of deceased and he had not provided any incident which lead to belief that the deceased practiced witch craft, he added. Police said that accused attacked in her neck over half a dozen times which caused her death. The accused attacked at around 2.30 in the afternoon and before someone could help her or she could rescue herself the accused multiple times leaving the deceased in pool of blood. The body was sent for the post-mortem after the preliminary investigation and the police have registered a case under section 302 of the IPC and started further investigation.
