Imdian Council for Cultural Relations ICCR in collaboration with the Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute, Pune organised a three-day Webinar on Indology with participation of emment Indologists.
Here on Saturday Radhavallabh Tripathi, (Former VC, Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth) talked about 'why Natyashastra is a neglected disciple of Indology.'
The term Indology (in German, Indologie) is often associated with German scholarship, and is used more commonly in departmental titles in German and continental European universities than in the anglophone academy.
Specifically, Indology includes the study of Sanskrit literature and Hinduism along with the other Indian religions, Jainism, Buddhism, Sikhism, and Pali literature.
