18th Federation Cup Junior Under-20 to be held from Jan 25

The three-day 18th Federation Cup Junior Under-20 National Athletics Competition-2021 will be organised from January 25 to 27 at the Tatya Tope Stadium. It is organised by Sports and Youth Welfare Department under the joint aegis of the Athletics Association of India. Director General of Police Vivek Johri will be the Chief Hospitality of the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony will begin on January 25, 2021 at 11.00 am. The 18th Federation Cup Junior Under-20 National Athletics Competition is the biggest championship of Madhya Pradesh in the Corona era. Director Sports and Youth Welfare Pawan Jain while talking about it to the media persons on Saturday said that more than 500 boys and girls players from 20 states across the country will participate in the championship. A total of 39 players including 24 boys and 15 girl players will participate in the Madhya Pradesh team. The selected players from this championship will represent the country in the Junior World Championship-2021 to be held from August 17 to 22, 2021 in Nairobi (Kenya). Director Sports Pawan Jain also informed that in the 18 Federation Cup Junior Under-20 National Athletics Competition -2021 held at Tatya Tope Stadium, Bhopal, the young athletes will showcase their sportsmanship in 18 Athletics events. A VIP stage and gallery have been constructed which will be useful for big competitions in the coming time. This national competition is like a rehearsal of a big event like the Games India Youth Games. It is noteworthy that Sports MinisterYashodhara Raje Scindia had a meeting of departmental officers and employees regarding the preparations for this sporting event. She had reviewed the preparations for the competition. She also gave the necessary instructions to level the competition.
